I just wanted to talk for a few minutes about why.
As I have been preparing to move to brunswick, that question has been in my mind. And I figure, if I am asking questions about this whole thing, you might be too.
So everyone knows that Vertical Wave is the coolest and craziest youth group ever, so why are we "changing things up"? We are making changes so that we can better serve both the middle schoolers and the high schoolers. For those of you that are middle schoolers and are plugged into Vertical Wave on Wednesday nights already, I want to let you know that you are not being kicked out. We wouldn't do that.
It's like, there is Vertical Wave and now there is a bonus: The Swell. It's a special service that is being created with you in mind-and it is just for you!
I remember being in middle school-and at times it was awesome and at other times, it was tough. The Swell is place where you can connect, belong and believe.
This is a place for you and your friends, a place where relationships get deeper than just, "what did you have for lunch yesterday?".
And since it's just for middle schoolers, that means that all of our topics will revolve around your life and what you are going through.
In terms of believing, this is the place where you can ask questions about God, Faith, the Bible. Our goal is to assist you in your "walk with Christ", basically to walk alongside you as a Christian.
{And for those of you that don't get the whole church thing or even know who Jesus is-this place is for you too. You will have the chance to learn, to ask questions, to seek and let me tell you know: you will find something amazing.}
